You might say that when Sue gets inspired, she really gets into her work.
She spent a good part of her Sundays this Fall working on a mosaic ground fountain she designed and built in our front yard.
What you can't see, is the final design (mostly because she is sitting on it). It's a depiction of the world made of clay tiles she meticulously created in the studio. I'll leave more of the explanation to her when I wrangle her into posting about it, but I believe the idea is to fill the bowl with water and have a solar fountain floating in the center.
In the background, you can see another of Sue's amazing clay works -- a mamasan quietly watches from the garden path.
